The loading_at_oso site has recently received a lot of spam. As a countermeasure from today the request processor will delete all mail that does not seem to request loading parameters. If you send requests directly (i.e. not through this page), you need to make sure that your message contains

Norman Teferle pointed out a problem affecting stations with longitudes near the zero meridian.
Some results were returned as asteriscs and NaN's. Also in other cases we noted that results were affected.

Nota bene:
Stations within  ±1.5°  from the zero meridian should be recomputed,
if the output record contains the comment

The problem has been fixed as of today.

Starting afternoon May 22, sendmail had 'access denied' for ALL on the machine on which the loading provider is running. From today on (9:00 a.m. UTC) the user requests are forwarded again correctly. Submissions occurring between these two dates need to be re-issued. Sorry for the inconvenience.

During a comparison with other ocean tide loading programs we found a small difference when using the CSR4.0 ocean tide model. It turned out that the Ross and Weddell sea of GOT00.2 were not added to this model. This was a mistake and has been corrected. Now CSR4.0 has been filtered with GOT00.2 as described on our web-page. The long period harmonics Mf, Mm and Ssa are taken from FES99 so these are not affected by this update.

The effect for Onsala is:

We had to remove sendmail but, because of a misunderstanding, failed to replace it with a new version in time.
From today on the provider is supposed to function normally again.

Problem with GRAV after Jan 10, 2003
The loading provider did not return any values for sites that require the post-processor, i.e. sites near the sea. The problem has been solved today.

Feb 15, 2003 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear users since Jan 10, 2003.

I have been notified of a problem, and subsequently I have discovered an error in our software

The provider will be closed for a day, and the error will be corrected. We will have to do testing, during which a warning is issued on the loading home page.

The unfortunate inconvenience is that you either need to resubmit your jobs or correct the mistake on your side.

To correct the problem on your side you take all records marked
Computed by OLMPP
and add 180 degrees to the phase values in lines 10 and 11 of each BLQ record set.  Id est, the last two of each 11-line set.

In HARPOS records you need to go to the section that is headed with the comment line
#C Computed by OLMPP
There you need to multiply the cosine and sine amplitudes of the tangential components with -1. These are the numerical columns number 2,3,5,6

We track your mail address but not your requests, therefore I cannot inititate to compute the update for you.

This is all very embarrassing for myself.
